PRINCE ABDULLAH IBN ABDUL AZIZ PRAISES MEMBERS OF THE SECURITY FORCES AND LAMBASTES THE DEVIANT GROUP WHO THREATENS THE FAITH AND THE NATION AND STRESSES THAT THEY WILL BE ROOTED OUT . PRINCE NAIF REVIEWS WITH YOUTH AND SHEIKHS DELEGATIONS THE OPERATION OF AL-RASS. THE MINISTER OF THE INTERIOR: OUR RESPONSIBILITY IS TO DEFEND OUR HOMELAND. A STATEMENT FROM THE SAUDI MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR ON AL-RASS OPERATION. Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard said that the government with the help of its security forces would defeat terrorists. "The armed forces, which have not yet joined in the anti-terror battle, also want to take part because it's an honor for them," he said. Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz made the comment while receiving delegations of tribal leaders from the Assir region and Madinah as well as a group of Saudi youth, who expressed their readiness to join the security forces in the fight against terrorism. "They (terrorists) are threatening your faith and nation as well as your women, children, fathers and brothers," the crown prince said and urged everyone to join hands in combating terror. He also called upon Saudis to advise individuals against being drawn to the deviant group. Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard, received at the royal court at Al Yamamah palace in Riyadh princes, ministers, senior officials and citizens who came to greet him. Crown Prince Abdullah also received delegations of a number of Saudi tribes and youths of different regions of the kingdom who congratulated him on what has been achieved by security men and condemned the criminal acts perpetrated by the deviant group. The Crown Prince thanked them for their support for the Saudi leadership and their loyalty to their religion and homeland. The audiences were attended by a number of princes and officials. On the other hand an official source at the Ministry of Interior said in a statement that surrounding a number of deviants in a residential site in Jawazat neighbourhood in Rass governorate in Qassim Region and a gunfight with them led to killing, injuring, arresting and surrendering of a number of them. Fifteen deviants were killed and ten of them have been identified. One more body was discovered. Five injured suspects were arrested and one surrendered. The source pointed out that the suspects hid behind children's schools and disguised as women, adding that security men surprised the suspects in encircling 13 residential buildings. The source noted that priority was given to the evacuation of citizens and residents as well as preserving the safety of security men who hurry to sacrifice themselves for defending the security of their country and its citizens. The ten suspects who were killed are the following: 1- Saud bin Homoud bin Obaid Al-Qutaini, Saudi. He was proclaimed as the leader of the deviating gang after the killing of Abdulaziz Al-Miqren in Rabie II, 1425. He traveled to Afghanistan and adopted the deviant thought. He had knowledge in preparing explosives. He participated in moving booby trapped cars from Qassim to Riyadh which were seized by security men. He took part in a number of attacks on security men. He had worked for smuggling quantities of weapons from abroad. He used to move from one place to another disguised as a woman. 2- Kareem Al-Tihami Idriss Al-Majati, Moroccan, naturalized as French. He came to the Kingdom with his family, a wife and two sons Adam and Ilias. He had a forged passport. He joined the deviating group and exploited his son for serving the deviants. Previously, he stayed in Afghanistan. He was specialized in making explosives. His wife and his son Ilias were turned back to their country. He had knowledge in electronic circuits. He and his son Adam took part in kidnapping an expatriate and he participated in firing on highway security patrols near Al-Ghat Governorate. He and his son were killed. 3- Hani bin Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Jei'then, Saudi. He took part in attacks on security men and Al-Muhayya residential compound in Ramadan 1424H. 4- Faisal bin Mohammed bin Hadi Al-Baidhani, Saudi. He was detained in 1423 but later released after repenting and recanting. He took part in attacks on security men. He was one of suspects who had primed explosives used in wicked attacks on the building of the Ministry of Interior and headquarters of Riyadh-based Emergency Forces in 1425. 5- Majid bin Mohammed Saeed Al Masoud, Saudi. He adopted the deviant thought and spread the deviating propaganda through the internet. He was in charge of information efforts. 6- Fawaz Mufdi Atiyyah Al-Anzi, Saudi. He was detained in 1422H but released after repenting and recanting. He took part in attacks on security men. He devoted himself to recruit the young suspects. 7- Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Jarbou', Saudi. He adopted the deviant thought and he was used by the deviating group to provide residence and transportation. 8- Nawaf Naif Kadimis Al-Hafi, Saudi. Previously, he traveled to Afghanistan and adopted the deviant thought. He was trained on weapons and explosives. He provided accommodation and transportation for the deviating group. He took part in spreading the deviating propaganda through the internet. 9- Abdulsalam bin Sulaiman bin Mohammed Al-Khudairi, Saudi. He adopted the deviant thoughts and cooperated with the deviating group. Previously, he rented a rest house in Buraida for priming bomb cars. He took part in attacks on security men. The five other suspects who were killed will be announced later after the completion of measures. The source noted that five injured suspects were arrested and one surrendered. They are: 1- Adil bin Saad bin Jaza Al-Dhubaiti, Saudi. He took part in the criminal acts and was among those who prepared the car used in attack on Al-Muhayya residential compound. He participated in moving booby trapped cars from Qassim to Riyadh which were seized by security men. He took part with a wanted suspect, who was killed in Taoun neighborhood, in shooting and killing a resident in Riyadh. He was one of four suspects committed the criminal incident in Abdulaziz Oasis Compound in Khobar Governorate. 2- Hamad bin Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Humaidi, Saudi. He was an ideologist of the deviating group. He was detained in 1423H and later released after recanting. He was a member of an alleged Religious Committee of the deviating group. He spread deviating propaganda via the internet. He took part in resisting security men. 3- Salih bin Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Shamsan. He cooperated with the deviating group in providing accommodation, transportation and family cover. He took part in moving wanted suspects in Qassim. He participated in spreading the deviating propaganda via the internet and in translating for the deviating group. As for the other three arrested suspects, they will not be presently identified, the source said. The source added that security men seized at the scene of the incident quantities of weapons, explosives, sets, equipment, various documents and a sum of more than SR 250,000. On the other hand Prince Naif Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Interior Minister, received a youth delegation headed by Fayez Ibn Mohammed Al-Heid. During the reception, the members of the delegation slammed the criminal acts which recently took place in Rass Governorate, and expressed appreciation for the brave and noble role played by security men, and highlighted their efficiency in repulsing terror acts. Speaking on behalf of the delegation Abdul Rahman Al-Omeir from Zulfi Governorate said the Saudi youth are ready to shoulder their responsibility as regards confronting the deviant groups. On his part, Turki Al-Khileiwi, speaking on behalf of the sons of Rass Governorate, confirmed their determination on confronting the deviant groups and the terrorist organizations. Prince Naif Ibn Abdul Aziz expressed appreciation for the heartfelt feelings spelt out by the youth. He noted that the Kingdom is the cradle of Islam, and it has been blessed by the Two Holy Mosques. Prince Naif said members of the deviant groups have nothing to do with Islam, and they have been deceived and misled by certain quarters. "Threatening your faith and nation as well as your women, children, fathers and brothers," he said. Prince Naif Ibn Abdul Aziz reiterated the insistence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to combat and root our terrorism: 'let us always say: Islam is our religion, Arabism is our origin, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is our country'. Addressing the meeting, Prince Naif emphasized that the Kingdom has been targeted by enemy forces. He said that the deviating groups with the support of the enemies of the region and peace and security everywhere have been seeking to harm our interests in the region and disrupt development. He affirmed that evil and terrorism will be defeated through the unity and solidarity between the citizens in the kingdom and continuous security efforts. Prince Naif Ibn Abdul Aziz added that with the cooperation between citizens and security bodies we will overcome the difficulties and increase ability to confront present and future threats. "You are aware that our confrontation of terrorism was, and continues to be, fierce and very strong," Prince Naif said. This confrontation "confounded the evil people and those who stand behind them. However, the security achievements scored by our countries in their ongoing confrontation with terrorism and terrorists are not enough," he said. "Extremism and terrorism spread at alarming rates in the world and this led enemies of Islam to exploit the situation and work to defame Islam. Saudi Arabia has confronted terrorism with strength and resolve to uproot the menace. Security forces in the Kingdom foiled many dangerous terrorist operations," Prince Naif said. Prince Naif added that confronting terrorism requires an intellectual offensive against fanaticism and fundamentalism. Winning the war against terrorism would require more than military confrontation with militants, he said. Prince Naif Ibn Abdul Aziz praised the youth and expressed his confidence in their ability to confront any danger and build up their future. Prince Naif Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Interior Minister, received a delegation representing Sheikhs of Assir region. Members of the delegation highlighted the great achievements attained by security men, and confirmed their solidarity with all efforts that might be exerted for combating destructive ideas. Prince Naif expressed appreciation for their heartfelt feelings, and confirmed the determination of the Saudi Government to firmly confront all elements that try to undermine the country's stability and security. Prince Naif Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Interior Minister, received also the vice chairman of the board of directors of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh Saad Alme'ejil, head of the chamber's lawyer committee Dr. Hasan Almolla and members of the committee. The visitors expressed support for efforts by the Ministry of Interior to combat terrorism and discussed with the minister issues pertaining to the work of lawyers. Prince Naif Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Minister of Interior, thanked the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Ibn Abdullah Al-Manei for the extensive care extended by the Saudi health authorities for those injured in the fight against deviant group. Dr. Al-Manei expressed that this care is a national duty and obligation to serve the citizens. Prince Naif Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Minister of Interior, received the Secretary General of World Assembly for Muslim Youth Dr. Salih Ibn Sulaiman Al-Wuhaibi and members of Council of Trustees of WAMY who came to greet Prince Naif on the efforts made to eliminate misled groups. During the meeting, they discussed issues concerning the Charity work in the Kingdom and Muslim countries. Prince Naif stressed the unified efforts to fight extremist thoughts and protect the youth from misleading ideas.
