THE PRINCE SULTAN IBN ABDUL AZIZ AL SAUD CHARITABLE FOUNDATION "HAS HELPED PEOPLE TO HELP THEMSELVES."

Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the adoption of a new logo for the Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz Al Saud Charitable Foundation.

The foundation is a non-profitable charitable organisation which was set up by His Royal Highness Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz on the 20th of Ramadan, 1415 A.H. (20th of February, 1995 A.D.), and officially founded by Royal Decree A/77. The principal objectives of the Foundation are the provision of humanitarian, social and cultural services both within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and abroad. These objectives are achieved via numerous of projects, which include some of the following examples:

The Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz Complex for Humanitarian Services, which is a vocational training centre of 400 beds, currently under construction to the North of Riyadh.

The Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz Centre for Science and Technology, which is to be built in the City of Al-Khobar, using practical, yet entertaining teaching methods.

The Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz Special Education Programme, at the University of the Arabian Gulf in Bahrain.

The Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz Programme for Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of California Berkeley, which is a practical academic programme for the teaching of Arab Islamic culture.

The Foundation's new logo represents its activities, its charity works, and its work to "help people to help themselves." It is a representation of the Foundation's work for the well being of the people.

The new logo, with its elegant Arab design, points to the Foundation's implicit aims, within the Kingdom and abroad. At the centre of the logo is a star, representing light, renewal and warm-heartedness. The larger outer star, and the silver dots around it, represent people raising their arms together, as if they are expressing life, co-operation, assistance and accomplishment and celebrating all of that.

The new logo will be used in all of the Charitable Foundation's projects and as well as at other projects, which are enjoying the support of the Foundation.
