Crown Prince hails academic efforts of King Saud University

Prince Sultan congratulates KSU over excellence in obtaining international rankings

The Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General congratulated King Saud University (KSU) on ranking 187 among world universities by Webometrics Ranking of World Universities for 2011, and for ranking 19 among Asian universities and also keeping its first rank among Islamic and Arab universities for the third year, consecutively.

In a reply cable to KSU Director, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Osman, the Crown Prince expressed happiness for the achievements and appreciated the efforts exerted by the university staff to attain these world ranks.

For his part, the KSU Director extended thanks to and appreciation of the Crown Prince for this generous gesture and having interest in the university's record.

He pointed out that the Crown Prince is the leading financier of the university's research and has contributed a lot for different research chairs and programs in various aspects.
