Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, received a number of cables of congratulations on the kingdom's national day from a numbers of Arab, Muslim and friendly countries' leaders.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince replied with cables of thanks.

Crown Prince Sultan said the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a historic and national occasion that is dear to the hearts of everyone.

This came in a speech by the Crown Prince on the occasion of the eighty-first anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom.

In the speech, the Crown Prince highlighted the country's safety, security, development and stability under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who mobilized all the energies of the state and its resources to serve the people, the crown prince said.

The Crown Prince reviewed unification of the country by the founder King Abdulaziz and his efforts in this field.

Crown Prince Sultan said that since its founding, the country mobilized all its resources to serve the nation and the citizens and invested all its resources in order to build a modern state.

Crown Prince Sultan said this goal was achieved thanks to the dedication of the leadership and the keenness of the people.

He highlighted the country's investment in people's education and training and hailed the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz's achievements in various fields.

Crown Prince Sultan stressed care of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Two Holy Mosques, pilgrims and visitors of the two holy mosques.

He underlined the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's religious and political influence, economic power and strategic location which serves the aspirations of the nation, the interests of the country and all humanity, he said.

He said the Kingdom works to achieve world peace and security including the security and stability in the region, resolving the Palestinian issue to restore the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people and the establishment of an independent state with Alquds Alsharif as its capital and restoring other Arab rights.

Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, confirmed that the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is considered a distinguished mark of the country the profile of which was drawn by its founder late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud who successfully assembled the fragmented country on the bases of the holy Quran and the Sunnah of his Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).

Speaking on the occasion of the national day of the Kingdom, Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz said 'this nation has every reason to feel proud of this day', citing the great achievements it has accomplished at all levels and in all fields.

On the occasion, he extended congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, and the Saudi people, wishing the leaders continuous happiness and health, the country steady progress and prosperity and the Saudi people continuous welfare and wealth.

Meanwhile, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja called the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as an immortal day and a precious symbol that is celebrated annually to remember and to recall Kingdom's stances and the victorious achievements of the late founder King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud.

Dr. Khoja described the National day as an occasion to renew our commitment to proceed on the march towards what is the best on the path of a wide scale and human-oriented revival in the Kingdom.

'National Day, is an occasion to commemorate unifying the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on a solid basis of God's Holy Book, the Quran and his Prophet's Sunnah,' the Minister of Culture and Information said.

The Minister Dr. Khoja went on to say that: 'Sons of the late founder King Abdulaziz, kept proceeding on that great and honorable path, reflecting their allegiance to their religion, motherland and people, up to the current reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who, through wisdom, statesmanship and broad insight, managed to put his nation among developed nations at all levels, in a very short span of time.'

Senior Saudi officials congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General; and Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, and the Saudi people on the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishing them happiness and health and the Kingdom steady progress and prosperity.

They confirmed that the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reminds them of the great achievements made by the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud whose approach was followed by his sons until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

They were Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Professor at Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University (IMAMU) and Assistant Professor at the Economics and Administrative Sciences College; Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdullah, Chairman of the board of Tourism Development in the Eastern Region; Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz; Dr. Mohammed bin Suleiman Al-Jasser, Governor of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA); and Lieutenant General Saad bin Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri, Director General of Civil Defense.

Folkloric men dances and fireworks were the most aspects of celebration shows by the people of Riyadh city to mark their country's national day.

Al-Doh park, the eastern park at Al-Qadisiyyah district, Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, and the special park for the disabled were only few sites among the wide theater for showing the jubilance of Riyadh residents of the occasion.

Saudi Press Agency camera and recorder registered unprecedented folk celebrations of the Kingdom's day of unification, with multi-age citizens interviewed on the occasion.

They expressed happiness on the National day and extended congratulations to their leadership and people, wishing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia every progress and stability and lauding the achievements of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, his Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier.

The longest ever flying flag decorated the sky of the city of Riyadh to mark the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it was reported.

Jubilant residents of Riyadh saw a special flight hoisting a 25-meter long 9-meter high flag above the northern and eastern ring roads and King Fahd road.

The show, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, was organized by the Land and Space School.

On Saturday, the skies of Riyadh will be covered by the biggest photograph for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The 30-m long and 9-m high photo will be aired by a special flight, organizers said.

A number of Saudi Embassies abroad celebrated the 81st anniversary of the National Day of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In statements to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Saudi ambassadors said that the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reminds of the great achievements made by the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud whose approach was followed by his sons until the current era of the Custodian of the Two Holy mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

During the reign of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia witnessed great achievements in all fields and at all levels, they said.

The Saudi ambassadors congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, and the Saudi people on the occasion of the anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

They were the Saudi ambassador to Russia Ali Hassan Jafar, Saudi ambassador to France Dr. Mohammed bin Ismail Al Al-Sheikh, Saudi ambassador to Morocco Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Bishr, Saudi Charge D'Aaffaires in Spain Saeed bin Othman Sweid; Saudi ambassador to Ireland Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Drees; and Saudi ambassador to Cameroon Mahmoud bin Hussein Gattan.
