Crown Prince Sultan receives thanks from MWL Secretary-General over efforts to enhance charity work

MWL Secretariat discusses proposals, ideas to develop work, activities

The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL), Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul-Mohsen Al-Turki, who is also the chairman of the International Islamic Relief Organization, extended thanks and appreciation for Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General over his efforts in backing humanitarian activities in general.

In a cable Dr. Turki sent on the occasion of convening the 6th session of the International Islamic Relief Organization, he said, “members of the organization are extending heartfelt thanks for the generosity of His Highness over his interest in and encouragement of humanitarian work and hold in high esteem the role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in relief efforts for the victims of natural disasters and wars in some countries of the world”.

The organization has recently held its 6th session under MWL Secretary-General Dr. Turki in the presence of 200 members from and outside the kingdom, mostly scholars, ministers, businessmen, academics and experts in the field of humanitarian and charity work.

The meeting tackled several issues related to this field and ideas to develop its numerous activities.
