Crown Prince Naif patronizes ceremony to hand King Khalid Award

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at his palace in Riyadh former Minister of Civil Service Mohammed bin Ali Al-Fayez, former Minister of Economy and Planning Khalid bin Mohammed Al Gosaibi, Minister of Hajj Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hamza Assad Hajjar, Minister of Economy and planning Dr. Mohammed bin Suleiman bin Mohammed Al-Jasser, Minister of Civil Service Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Barrak, Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfig bin Foozan bin Mohammed Al-Rabiah, Deputy Chairman of Shoura Council Dr. Mohammed bin Amin bin Ahmad Al-Jafari and Assistant Chairman of the Shoura Council Dr. Fahhad Bin Moa'tad bin Shifaq Al-Hamad.

The newly-appointed ministers and officials took the oath of assuming their new posts before Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, received the newly appointed ministers, who are Minister of Hajj Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hamza Hajjar, Minister of Economy and Planning Dr. Mohammed bin Suleiman bin Mohammed Al-Jasser, Minister of Civil Service Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Barrak and Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan bin Mohammed Al-Rabiah.

During the audience, the Crown Prince urged the ministers to spare no effort in providing the best services for the citizens.

For their part, the ministers thanked the Crown Prince.

The audience was attended by Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, President of the Court of the Crown Prince and Special Advisor to the Crown Prince; and Abdulrahman bin Ali Al-Rubaian, Private Secretary to the Crown Prince.

King Abdullah has sent a cable of thanks to the Grand Mufti of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of Council of Senior Scholars and General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh and the Council's Secretary General and members for their cable addressed to the King in which they expressed their appreciation of the King for reconciling brothers in the Republic of Yemen, and for the King's speech during a reconciliation ceremony in which the King advised for reconciliation, friendliness, and tolerance.

In his cable, the King said, 'We thank you, praying to Allah Almighty for making our works sincere to Him. Earlier, the Grand Mufti addressed a cable to the King in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation of the King for the achievement of reconciliation among brothers in Yemen.

Under the patronage of Dr. Nabil Al Arabi, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, the embassy of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Cairo had a huge celebration for King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz on the occasion of his entitlement of "Arab paternity" Order from Arab children, after his, may God protect him, recovery and return to the motherland.

On behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Ahmad Qattaan, the Saudi Ambassador to Cairo and its permanent representative to the League received the Order from Dr. Ilhaam Bint Saeed Harsaan, Ambassador of the United Nations Humanitarian Services, in the presence of Dr. Al Arabi & group of Egyptian politicians, intellectuals, reporters, artists & men of thought.

In his speech, Ambassador Qattaan hinted that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques really deserves "Arab paternity" Order, as he is considered, indeed, the "King of Humanity," in every sense of the word meaning, pointing to that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques ordered to allocating 100 Billion bounds for all developing countries & 500 million pounds for illiteracy elimination & development of education in various countries.

Dr. Al Arabi assured that "Arab Paternity" Order is the biggest representation of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz's humanitarianism and praised his attitudes in serving Arab Issues.

In her speech, Dr. Al Harsaan described Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as "a human in every sense of the word meaning" due to that he is a human who works for prevailing of peace in the whole world and makes a humanitarian generation able to bear the responsibility of its nation issues.

Meanwhile, Crown Prince Naif patronized the ceremony honoring the winners of King Khalid Award in its 2nd session for 1433 AH (2011 AD), which was held this week.

Upon arrival at the venue, Crown Prince Naif was greeted by Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region and Chairman of King Khalid Award Commission and its members.

The Crown Prince has expressed pleasure over patronizing the handing-over ceremony of King Khalid Award in its second session to Saudi winners.

Addressing the ceremony this week, the Crown Prince said that the Award has sublime objectives in its various branches including national achievements, social sciences and projects and responsible competitiveness, stressing that the Award has ignited the flame of competition for charitable and national achievements and has played a positive role in supporting the State's efforts in these important aspects.

He indicated that the Award of National Achievements in its first session was awarded to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in recognition of his great roles in several areas, especially education, and that the Award of National Achievements in its second session was awarded to the late Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in recognition of his great roles in charitable humanitarian works at home and abroad and his active contribution to developing charitable humanitarian institutional works in the Kingdom and the world.

He wished those responsible for the Award all success and that the Award will be a tributary to the State in the achievement of its efforts in charitable, social, developmental sectors.

Crown Prince Naif, then, handed over King Khalid Award for National Achievements won by Late Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz to Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense.

The ceremony was attended by Prince Fahd bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz; Prince Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Acting Governor of Riyadh region; Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Defense Minister; Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saud, Minister of Education; a number of princes; ministers and senior officials.

On the other hand, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense graced a graduation ceremony of 81st batch of cadets of King Faisal Air Academy.

Upon arrival at the venue, the Prince was received by Chief of General Staff, General Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Qabil, Commander of Royal Saudi Air Forces, Air Marshal Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ayish; Director General of the Office of Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Bunyan; and Commander of King Faisal Air Academy, Air Vice Marshal Ali bin Joair Al-Hamad.

Prince Salman inaugurated a new hall for graduation in the Academy.

The Academy's Commander delivered a speech in which he congratulated Prince Salman on the royal trust in his appointment as Minister of Defense, wishing the Prince all success in this great mission.

Then, they watched an air show performed by warplanes.

In a register of honor, Prince Salman expressed his pride of what he has seen of the development of Saudi youth at King Faisal Air Academy, wishing them further success.

The ceremony was attended by Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Cabinet's Member and Chief of National Guard; Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities; Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Secretary General of National Security Council for Security and Intelligence Affairs; Prince Bandar bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; commanders of the branches of the Armed Forces; and a number of officials.
