Crown Prince Sultan Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General received at his residence in Agadir Prince Naif Ibn Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who came to greet the Crown Prince.

The audience was attended by Prince Salman Ibn Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Province; Prince Khalid Ibn Abdullah Ibn Abdulrahman; Prince Khalid Ibn Fahd bin Khalid; a number of princes; ministers and officials.

At Agadir Airport, Prince Naif was received by Prince Salman Ibn Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Province, a number of princes and officials.

Indonesian President Dr. Alhaji Sosilo Bambang patronized the closing ceremony of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Contest for Holy Quran and Prophet Mohammed memorization for the ASEAN and the Pacific countries.

Addressing the gathering on behalf of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, who is also the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and sponsor of the contest, Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Homaid, Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, conveyed to the Indonesian President the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He congratulated the winners on this honor, wishing them prosperous future.

For his part, the President of Indonesia sent his greetings to King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and thanked Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz for holding this contest for the students in the region.

He lauded the progress of the Saudi Indonesian bilateral relations.

Then the winners names were announced and prizes given away to them.

On the other hand, Japanese Foreign Minister Seiji Maehara received a delegation from the Shoura Council.

During the meeting, the minister hailed Saudi efforts for stability in the world.

The delegation was also received by a number of Japanese ministers.

The President of Japan's House of Councilors, Nishioka, received a delegation of Majlis Al-Shura headed by Member of Majlis Al-Shura and Chairman of the Saudi-Japanese Parliamentary Friendship Committee Eng. Abdulmohsen bin Mohammad Al-Zakari.

During the meeting, Nishioka commended the efforts exerted by the Saudi government to maintain international security and peace and to achieve stability, praising the depth of relations between the two countries.

The meeting dealt with topics and issues of common interest between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan in various political and economic fields, particularly at the level of parliamentary relations between Majlis Al-Shura and the Japanese Parliament.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Japan Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdulsattar Al-Turkestani.

Japanese Parliament's Speaker Yokomichi received a delegation of the Shoura Council.

During the meeting, Yokomichi supported Saudi efforts to find a solution to the Palestinian cause and end the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Meanwhile, the delegation was also received by a number of Japanese ministers.

Saudi Ambassador to Japan Dr. Abdulaziz Alturkustani highlighted the importance of the current visit to Japan by a delegation of the Shoura Council.

In a statement on visit, he stressed the strength of Saudi-Japanese relations.
