King of Spain hails initiatives by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to bring peace to Middle East

In human rights conference in China, Ala'aiban praises King Abdullah’s initiatives to enhance coexistence

Saudi Arabia attached important to dialogue to strengthen national unity

On behalf of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, chaired the 27th meeting of the board of directors of the Military Industries Company at his office in al-Muadhar last week.

Prince Khalid stressed the interest of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulazi and his Crown Prince Sultan in the developments of the company and its progress in all fields, being the first institute specialized in military industries in the kingdom.

Meanwhile, King Juan Carlos of Spain received Majlis Al-Shura Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh.

During the meeting, King Juan Carlos praised the important role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in achieving political and economic stability worldwide.

King Juan Carlos also praised the initiatives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for peace in the Middle East and rapprochement among the followers of religions, civilizations and cultures in order to establish stability and promote dialogue among the peoples of the world.

The King of Spain also said that the relations between the two countries have received great support since the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Spain in 2007 which contributed to enhancing these relations and witnessed the signing of a number of agreements in various fields.

King Juan Carlos also sent his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

For his part, Majlis Al-Shura Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, the Second Deputy Premier and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to King Juan Carlos, wishing the people of Spain further progress and prosperity.

Majlis Al-Shura Speaker said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has close ties with Spain in political, economic and parliamentary fields.

The meeting addressed a number of issues of common interest to the two countries.

The reception was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Spain Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz and President of the Spanish Senate Javier Rojo.

In Beijing, Head of the Human Rights Commission Dr. Bandar bin Mohammad Ala'aiban deplored the Israeli practices in the Arab occupied territories and Israel's continued violation of the Palestinian people's rights.

Dr. Ala'aiban's remarks came in a speech he delivered during the human rights conference which started in China last week.

Dr. Ala'aiban highlighted the importance of cultural diversity for development and dialogue.

He underlined the strength of Saudi-Chinese relations and reviewed the relations' developments.

Dr. Ala'aiban detailed Saudi Arabia's great support and care for cultural diversity, national dialogue and dialogue among followers of religions.
