Second Deputy Premier says Saudi Arabia’s message is one of Islamic, humanitarian action to enhance relief efforts

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received Prince Ismaeel bin Abdullah bin Mohammad V.

The audience was attended by a number of princes and senior officials.

King Abdullah also received in Washington this week the Saudi Cultural Attaché in the United States of America Dr. Mohammad bin Abdullah Alisa and a group of students studying in the USA.

In a speech on the occasion, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is well and its future will be prosperous urging those attending the audience to preserve the good reputation they enjoy in all countries of the world.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah addressed the audience saying, 'You are ambassadors of your homeland. Thank God, your homeland is proceeding resolutely to a prosperous future, God willing. What is unknown is greater.'

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed hope that oil will last for a long time saying that when exploration for underground resources started, he ordered ending all kinds of exploration because of the existence of oil which he said as long as it is there, other underground resources should be left for future generations. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said, 'Your country is rich with all of this.'

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques wished the students success and hoped to see all of them soon in the kingdom contributing to its progress.

Then, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received a gift in the name of the students. It was presented to the king by the Cultural Attaché.

Meanwhile, under the chairmanship of Majlis Al-Shura Member Eng. Osama bin Mohammed Kurdi, the Saudi-US Parliamentary Friendship Committee held a meeting with a delegation of US Congress.

During the meeting, they commended the outcomes of the meeting the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and US President Barack Obama held recently in Washington.

They also discussed issues of common interest and reviewed ways of enhancing parliamentary cooperation between Majlis Al-Shura and US Congress.

The meeting was attended by US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia James Smith.

The Saudi-US Parliamentary Friendship Committee held a luncheon in honor of the US Congress delegation.

Meanwhile, King Abdullah has sent a cable of congratulations to U.S. President Barack Obama on the occasion of his country's independence day.

In his name and on behalf of the Saudi people and government, the King expressed his good wishes to President Obama and to the friendly American people.

King Abdullah highlighted the existing bilateral relations and their development in the various domains.

A similar cable of congratulations was also sent to President Obama by the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Sultan ibn Abdulaziz on the occasion.

On the other hand, in Jeddah, a Saudi government spokesman denied Thursday what was published by the French Le Figaro newspaper on its website on June 30 quoting Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah that Israel and Iran do not deserve to exist.

"The report is totally untrue," the spokesman said and expressed his astonishment that the newspaper published such false information without verifying it. The spokesman expressed his hope that the newspaper would deny the report so as to ensure its credibility, the Saudi Press Agency said.

Also in Jeddah, Prince Naif Ibn Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior received here on Saturday evening the Secretary General of World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), Dr. Saleh Bin Suleiman Al-Wahaibi and other secretaries.

During the meeting, Prince Naif stressed the importance of the role of the Assembly and other charities to keep abreast with the charitable and humanitarian message of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to cooperate and coordinate with government agencies and charities in a better way, as well as to strengthen the relationship with Muslim communities around the world, noting that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud pays attention and follows up this matter on permanent basis.

He added that the message of the Kingdom, which has been honored by Allah Almighty to serve the Two Holy Mosques, comes in line with Islamic and humanitarian approach to strengthen charitable and relief activities according to specific and clear controls.
