A spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said that the authorities concerned in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are still monitoring the criminal movements of the deviant group stationed outside the country including the continuing endeavors of its leadership to find a foothold for its elements inside the country by exploiting Hajj and Umrah (Minor Hajj) seasons to spread their expiatory ideas and lure teenagers and instigate them to adopt killing and sedition behaviors under fallacious claims and by raising money using illegal means that harm the concept of charity, which is considered a good way followed by benevolent people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to plans to recruit some elements to help them carry out plots targeting the security and capabilities of this country, its citizens and expatriates indifferent of the sanctity and blood of Muslims or guests or that of the time and place.

Thanks to Allah Almighty, those deplorable attempts were intercepted and foiled as follows:

Firstly: Over the last eight months, 149 multinationals related to deviant activities, including 124 Saudi nationals, were apprehended.

Secondly: They were divided (by their leaders) into 19 secret cells active in a number of the Kingdom's regions whereas most of them were recently recruited, linked to foreign instructors who belong to expiatory thinking designed to spread their thought in the Kingdom and raise money inside and outside the country. To this effect, an amount of SR2,244,620 was found hidden in some sites and confiscated from them. Among their plans, was to facilitate the travel of those lured to troubled regions and carry out criminal plots aiming to spreading chaos and breaching of peace.

Thirdly: Thanks to Allah Almighty, and based on security follow-up of those cells, advanced plots to assassinate security men, officials, media representatives and expatriates, were intercepted and relevant documents and weapons were confiscated. Moreover, legal measures to bring those stationed outside the country were taken through the Interpol.

Fourthly: Based on information published by deviant groups on their websites, the user of the following terms: Qatel, Anwar, Al-Moheb Lellah and Abu-Rayan was apprehended. Also the user of the following terms: Al-Asad, Al-Muhajer, Al-Ghariba, Bint Najd Al-Habiba and Al-Najm Al-Sate'a was also arrested. Following thorough investigation and resettling her case, she was repatriated to her family.

After having revealed to everybody that this deviant group has criminal plotting and objectives that defames Islamic religion and provides free service to enemies of Islam though fastening the accusation of terrorism on its followers, the Interior Ministry vowed that it would spare no effort to pursue its monitoring of those organizations and bring whoever proved to have a link with them to justice. Meanwhile, it calls on whoever found himself lured and sited in the position of suspicion and accusation of having relation with the deviant elements in any way, to surrender to the concerned authority and clarify his position, a move that would help him/her when he/she was investigated.

Meanwhile, Kuwait's Council of Ministers congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud on the successful surgery which he has recently undergone in the United States of America, wishing the King full recovery and good health.

In its session held last week, the Council commended Saudi security forces for dismantling terrorist cells, expressing Kuwait's solidarity with and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its efforts in confronting terrorist acts.

On the other hand, Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad received Saudi Speaker of Majlis Al-Shoura Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al Asheikh currently on a visit to Syria.

The Speaker conveyed greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, and Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior to President Al-Assad.

Al Asheikh voiced gratitude at Syria's hosting of the 5th Asian Parliaments Assembly conference hoping it will conclude positively for the good of the two Muslim and Arab nations.

In turn, the Syrian President asked the Speaker to convey his greetings and congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for the successful operation he, recently, underwent.

During the reception, they reviewed the agenda of the conference, the situation in the region and other developments on Arab and regional arenas.

The meeting was attended by the Speaker of Syrian parliament Mahmoud Al-Abrash and Saudi Ambassador to Syria Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Ayfan.

Dr. Abdullah highlighted Saudi-Syrian distinguished relations and keenness of the two countries' leaders to boost relations.

In a press statement during his meeting with the Syrian president, the chairman stressed the important role of Arab Parliaments.

Dr. Abdullah stressed that permanent peace in the Middle East should be based on justice, equality, respect of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and restoration of all Arab rights.

In a speech at the opening of the fifth session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Damascus last week, he expressed thanks and appreciation to the President of the Syrian People's Assembly Dr. Mahmoud al-Abrash for his kind invitation to hold this conference.

HE said that the efforts of the United Nations and its specialized agencies over the past decades were an important factor in maintaining international peace and security.

The Chairman of Shoura Council said as 'we commend the efforts of the United Nations in that direction we would like to remind it at the same time of its historic responsibility to be the basic reference in dealing with crises.

The Chairman of the Shoura Council said, 'Our world is currently living conditions that are extremely serious. In particular, our region is facing grave and serious conflicts and events. In this regard, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was one of the first countries that have undertaken the responsibility to reach peaceful settlements to these conflicts, whether these efforts were individual or jointly with brethren and friends.'

The Chairman of the Shoura Council said, 'During your previous meetings, your Council approved resolutions calling on Israel to stop its arbitrary practices against the unarmed Palestinian people...'

He stressed that lasting peace in the Middle East must be based on justice, equality and said peace would prevail only by respecting the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people's, recovery of all Arab rights and Israel's withdrawal from the occupied Palestinian territories and the occupied Syrian Golan and Lebanese Shebaa Farms.

In his speech at the session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, the Chairman of the Shoura Council said that poverty is one of the more risks and phenomena facing Asian societies and requires concerted efforts to combat it.

The Chairman explained that environmental factors are among the leading causes of poverty as well as the inability to meet the challenges of global competition in various fields.

He said that the Kingdom was one of the first countries that have contributed to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals because it attaches great importance to sustainable development issues and increasing the allocation of public expenditure on educational, social and health services.

Meanwhile, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri has asserted that Lebanese people of all stripes won't abandon their national unity no matter the escalation of the national political discourse and the hit-and-run campaigns of media, indicating that the option in Lebanon is to live together and the dialogue is the way to confront the Israeli aggressions.

In a speech delivered during the opening ceremony of a hospital for burns in the city of Sidon, southern Lebanon, the Lebanese prime minister added that the only way to resolve conflicts and bring the views closer under the Arab umbrella is the good offices being exerted by the leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Syria.

Lebanon's Minister of Public Works and Transport Ghazi Al-Aridhi was quoted as saying that good offices are currently underway between the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Syria.

In a statement following his meeting with Speaker of the House of Representatives Nabih Berri, he expressed hope that 'the required results would be reached as soon as possible to put an end to all attempts of interpretations, exaggeration and negative leaking and to what harms this phase witnessed by Lebanese people and to crown all contacts and endeavors underway to consolidate tranquility, security and stability in Lebanon and enhance its national unity'.
