Prince Sultan calls for enhancing Islamic institutions authorized to work in their respective countries

Prince Khalid bin Sultan visits Kuwait, meets Kuwaiti leaders

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, who is also the President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, chaired a meeting of the council attended by Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The meeting was also attended by a number of princes and ministers.

Following the meeting, Secretary General of the council Dr. Salih Ala'ayed told Saudi Press Agency that the meeting discussed a number of Islamic issues aiming at promoting the call to Islam.

Dr. Ala'ayed stated that the crown prince urged increasing support for Islamic institutions and organizations that are authorized to work in their countries.

Dr. Ala'ayed added that the council will submit its recommendations to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Crown Prince Sultan also received at his palace, Alaziziyah, the sons of Sheikh Abdullah bin Hussein Alahmar and a number of sheikhs and dignitaries of the Republic of Yemen who came to greet him.

The Crown Prince welcomed all and wished them a pleasant stay in the Kingdom, stressing the depth of fraternal relations between the two peoples in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

Prince Sultan also received at his palace General Kamal al-Din Haydarov, Minister of Emergencies Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the accompanying delegation.

The Azerbaijani Minister conveyed to the Crown Prince the greetings of President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan and in turn, the Crown Prince extended his greetings and appreciation of the president.

During the meeting they discussed issues of common interest.

On the other hand, Kuwait's Deputy Emir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs.

Prince Khalid conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince to Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Emir, and the Crown Prince.

On his part, Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also received Prince Khalid.

During the meetings, they exchanged cordial talks and discussed matters of common interest between the two countries.

The meetings were attended on the Saudi side by Prince Faisal bin Khalid, Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Fayiz and Military Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Talal bin Mutlaq Al-Rouqi.

Earlier, Prince Khalid bin Sultan arrived in Kuwait. At Kuwait International Airport, he was received by Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and a number of officials.

Kuwait's Chief of National Guard Sheikh Salem Al Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah received on Tuesday Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs.

During the meeting, they exchanged cordial talks and discussed issues of common interest between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Advisor at the Crown Prince's Office.

On the other hand, Prince Khalid bin Sultan paid on Tuesday visits to Divans of Al-Babtain and Al-Miftah Families.

During the visits, they exchanged cordial talks.

The visits were attended by Prince Faisal bin Khalid; Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Fayez; Kuwaiti Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah; and Military Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Kuwait, Lieutenant Colonel Talal bin Mutlaq Al-Rouqi.

Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti First Deputy Premier and Defense Minister, hosted a luncheon in honor of Prince Khalid.

The luncheon was attended by Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan, the Advisor at the Court of Crown Prince , and a number of senior officials.

Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs left after a 2-day visit to the State of Kuwait.

At Kuwait International Airport, Prince Khalid was seen off by a number of Kuwaiti Sheikhs and senior officials.

Kuwait's First Deputy Premier Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah lauded the visit of Prince Khalid, to his second country: Kuwait.

In remarks on the visit, he said Prince Khalid’s recently-concluded visit reflected the importance of relations between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and enhancing them at different levels, crowned by the meeting of Prince Khalid bin Sultan and Kuwait's Vice Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
