Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, received at his ranch Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, President of the Board of Trustees of King Khalid Charitable Foundation (KKCF); Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir region, Vice President of the Board of Trustees of KKCF and Prince Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Khalid on the occasion of holding the Scientific Symposium of the history of King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and 'Khalid' exhibition currently being held in Riyadh.

During the reception, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was delivered by Prince Abdullah bin Khalid and Prince Faisal bin Khalid, a copy of the book (Door of Kaaba) that contains pictures of the door of the Kaaba, which late King Khalid had ordered its reconditioning in 1399 AH and a copy of the book (Immortal Features), which includes rare and selected photographs of late King Khalid.

For his part, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed thanks to and appreciation of President and Vice President of the Board of Trustees of KKCF, valuing the accomplishments of King Khalid, and his efforts to serve his religion, country and his people.

The reception was attended by Prince Fahd bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz; Prince Abdul-Illah bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the King; Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; other princes and a number of officials.

Meanwhile, Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior attended on Sunday evening the celebration of Riyadh Schools on the occasion of their 40th anniversary, in the presence of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Province, who is also Honorary President of Riyadh Schools.

In an address on the occasion, Prince Naif said, 'I and my brother Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, are pleased to take part in the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Riyadh Schools which have been successful and effective for our society and they have helped in graduating a large number of students of this country at their best levels'.

The Prince praised the late King Fahd bin Abdulaziz for his support for education in General and these schools in particular, noting that the late King was the father and founder of education since the establishment of the first Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He also commended the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince for their continuing care and support for the Schools, also praising and thanking Prince Salman for his supervisory role over these schools since their establishment.

The Prince also congratulated the Schools on their high standards of education, wishing them all success.

On his part, Prince Salman announced the launch of Riyadh Schools Society of Graduates, wishing it every success.

Prince Fahd bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, then, announced the donation of Prince Naif with an amount of SR 5 million and an annual grant of SR 2 million for the Schools.

Prince Naif and Prince Salman took part in Saudi folklore dance 'Ardhah'.

The ceremony was attended by a number of princes, ministers, and officials.

On the other hand, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, leading the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the 4th Ministerial Meeting of China-Arab Cooperation Forum started its works last week, delivered a speech at the outset of the meeting in which he conveyed the greetings and appreciations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Chinese leadership and the Chinese friendly people.

In the presence of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao; Chinese Foreign Minister; Foreign Ministers of Arab Countries and Secretary General of Arab League, Prince Saud Al-Faisal said '(My country had the pleasure to host a seminar on dialogue between the Arab and Chinese civilizations, which received the attention of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques)'.

He added that this China-Arab Cooperation Forum in its 4th meeting reflects the desire and collective will to build relations of cooperation and strategic partnership between China and Arab countries based on mutual respect and fruitful cooperation and active consultation in the service of international peace and security, and well-being of our peoples as well as for stability and development of the global economy.

Prince Saud Al-Faisal also made clear that 'Given the international relations distinguished by multiple alliances and climates conducive to the cement of multilateral cooperation, the China-Arab Cooperation Forum provides a suitable platform to strengthen our ties and deepen our cooperation and serve our common interests, and so we look forward to this forum in its consecutive sessions to develop appropriate mechanisms and efficient plans to turn these visions into a solid reality in all areas and sectors'.

'If what has been achieved within the framework of this forum in a short period is a matter of satisfaction, the aspirations, opportunities and the potentials are still greater than achieved, especially in the area of joint ventures, direct investment and technology transfer; the volume of China's economy and the Arab Countries provides enormous, promising and fruitful opportunities for further cooperation and thus for building close strategic relationships', Minister of Foreign stressed.

Prince Saud Al-Faisal went on his speech confirming that 'The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attaches a great attention of developing the friendly and cooperative relations with China, which is experiencing steady growth at all political, economic and cultural levels, wishing that China-Arab relations go on generally in the same direction'.

'The agreements signed between the two countries in various fields in enhancing economic cooperation and growth in the volume of trade exchange between our two friendly countries. This is evidenced by the fact that China has since 2008 the second largest exporter for the Kingdom's imports and the third largest market for Saudi exports with a trade volume reached nearly $ 41 billion, pointing out that number of development projects the Chinese companies are contributing to the implementation of them in the Kingdom reached100 projects worth SR 44 billion', Prince Saud Al-Faisal added.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also made clear that to develop and deepen strategic relations between China and Arab countries would contribute effectively to addressing the problems and crises resulting from the move away from the purposes of the United Nations and the lack of commitment to international legitimacy, and double standards and widening the gap of development and technology among countries.

'In this regard the Arab - Chinese relations are serving directly the peace and security, and promoting the dialogue and mutual respect among different cultures and peoples, and working towards building a balanced world, respect pluralism and diversity, and ensure the rights of all people, and be able to address common challenges facing humanity', Prince Saud Al-Faisal stressed.

On another issue, the Minister of Foreign affairs reiterated that the sincere desire of the Arab side to achieve peace in the Middle East was the adoption of peace as a strategic choice, and the offer of a comprehensive and balanced peace initiative with Israel based on the decisions and principles of international legitimacy.

Prince Saud Al-Faisal also noted in his speech that this extended hand is still unfortunately met with more of intransigence, rejection and disruption by the Israeli government which persists in the aggression, and continues in violating the rights and expanding the settlements as well as the confiscation of land in defiance of the consensus of the international community and the violation of the international conventions and resolutions of the Security Council.

Prince Saud Al-Faisal also said 'We in the Arab world highly appreciate China's firm positions calling for the implementation of the resolutions of international legitimacy, end of Israeli occupation of Arab territories and achievement of just and comprehensive peace'.

'As China is one of the most prominent leading countries of today's world and plays an influential role in the Security Council, we always look forward to more activation of its efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East' he stressed.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also added that the importance and effectiveness of China's positive role towards the Arab issues is utterly clear and confirmed by its positive contribution to the solution of the Darfur crisis, and important participation in the five-plus-one group to discuss the Iranian nuclear file.

Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs went on stressing that 'In this regard, I can not fail to reiterate the position of the Arab calling for make the entire Middle East region including the Gulf region free from all weapons of mass destruction without any exception and to express the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of the efforts of the Group 5 +1 to solve peacefully the crisis of the Iranian nuclear program and to ensure the right of all countries in the region in the peaceful use of nuclear energy in accordance with standards and requirements of the International Atomic Energy Agency and urge Iran to respond, with transparency and credibility, to these efforts'.

He also said that 'In this international field, we find that the Arab countries and China have common visions regarding the importance of activating the role of the United Nations and improving its performance and achieving a balanced and fair representation of the South's countries in all its structures and organs starting from the Security Council to all bodies of the international financial system'.

Concluding his speech, Prince Saud Al-Faisal reiterated his thanks to the Chinese government for its efforts to hold this meeting, wishing it concludes with positive and practical outcomes enhancing the cooperation, consultation and coordination between the Arab countries and the People's Republic of China in all fields.

The Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum concluded its 4th session.

During the two days meeting, the Chinese and Arab sides reached an agreement on the development of China-Arab relations and discussed a number of regional issues of common interest.

They also declared in what they termed as 'Declaration of Tianjin' the establishment of strategic cooperation relationships represented in comprehensive cooperation and joint development in the framework of the Forum.

Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Wen Jiabao had received Prince Saud earlier.

During the reception, they discussed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of China, and ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in particular and China and other Arab countries in general.

On the occasion, Premier of the Chinese State Council said that 'The Chinese leadership values the constructive positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia toward issues of interest to China, while supporting the efforts of the Kingdom and its leadership role in the region as an important country in the Arab and Islamic world.'
