Prince Sultan hails Emir of Qatar’s response to King Abdullah’s request to grant amnesty to Saudi prisoners

Crown Prince opens modernization works in his defense ministry office in Jeddah

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, received at his palace in Jeddah Ali bin Saleh Abu-Lailah, the leader of Al Ghufran sub-tribe, an affiliate of Al Murrah grand tribe, and Brig. General (retired) Nasser bin Saleh Al-Erq, accompanied by Saudi prisoners who were released from Qatari prisons after having been pardoned by the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani upon a request from the Custodian of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

On behalf of the leader of the tribe, Abdulhadi bin Saleh Al-Erq, expressed thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Crown Prince for the efforts they exerted to set Saudi prisoners free from abroad.

In response, Prince Sultan thanked them for their noble feelings, praising the kind response of the Emir of Qatar to the Saudi king's request. He lauded the firm ties binding the two countries and peoples.

The audience was attended by Prince Dr. Misha’al bin Abdullah bin Musaed, Advisor to the Crown Prince; Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Advisor at the Crown Prince's Court; Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Secretary General of the National Security Council for Security and Intelligence Affairs; and senior protocol officials.

Meanwhile, Crown Prince Sultan inaugurated the works of modernization and development implemented at his office in the Ministry of Defense and Aviation in Jeddah.

Upon arrival at the venue, the Crown Prince was received by Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs and a number of senior civil and military officials.

Then, the Crown Prince paid a tour covered the project's utilities and briefed on what was achieved until now of works before leaving the venue amid warm farewell.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Prince Dr. Misha'al bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Advisor to the Crown Prince and a number of officials.
