Crown Prince Sultan donates SR10 million annually for orphans, disabled persons in Makkah

Arrangements laid for Saudi-Yemeni coordination council meeting in Riyadh

Prince Sultan receives Saudi ambassadors designate

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, received a message from Qatari Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The message was handed over to the Crown Prince by Qatari Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ali bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud during an audience.

The audience was attended by a number of officials.

Prince Sultan also received at his palace a number of Saudi Ambassadors-designate to brotherly and friendly countries.

They were Saudi Ambassador-designate to Djibouti Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Nofal, Saudi Ambassador-designate to Kenya Ghurm bin Saeed Melhan, Saudi Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Korea Ahmed Younis Al-Barrak and Saudi Ambassador-designate to Afghanistan Mansour Saleh Al-Safi.

The Crown Prince congratulated the ambassadors on the royal trust bestowed on them, wishing them all success. The Crown Prince sent his greetings to the Heads of State of the three countries.

The audience was attended by a number of officials.

Prince Sultan received at his palace the President of Human Rights Commission Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Aiban and members of the Commission's Board of Directors who came to greet the Crown Prince.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Aiban thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince for their continued support for the Commission.

The Crown Prince thanked the Commission's President and staff for their efforts in the field of human rights, wishing them all success.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials.

Prince Sultan also received at his palace Kingdom's Mufti-General and Chairman of Senior Scholar Council and Scholarly Research and Ifta Department Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, who is also Supervisor-General of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Chair for Contemporary Islamic Studies at King Saud University (KSU), the University's Rector Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Othman and the Chair's members.

At the outset of the audience, the Crown Prince expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the Mufti-General and members of the Chair for their hard and sincere works in the service of Islam and wished all success for them, praising the progress made by the University in Research Chairs and other developmental programs, resulted in the University's progress in the world rankings and its accomplishments, including its access to the list of global top 500 universities in Shanghai classification, registering the only Arab presence there.

The audience listened to the directives of the Crown Prince and his assertion that studies and researches within the Chair will be distinguished scientific additions in studying various Islamic issues and addressing them.

On his part, the Mufti-General expressed his thanks to the Crown Prince for his generous support and wise directives in the service of Islam and Muslims all over the world, noting that the Chair aims to confirm the principle of moderation in Islam and tolerance of its teachings.

In another speech, the University's Rector expressed his best thanks to the Crown Prince for his unlimited support for the University through financing its various research centers.

The audience was attended by Prince Dr. Misha'al bin Abdullah bin Musaed, Advisor to the Crown Prince; Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Eiban and a number of officials.

Crown Prince Sultan graced a reception party held in his honor by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah Region, at his palace in Jeddah this evening to celebrate the return of the Crown Prince from abroad.

At the venue, Crown Prince Sultan was received by Prince Saad Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz; Prince Turki Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz; Prince Saud Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, and other princes.

A speech ceremony was held to mark the occasion.

During the event, Crown Prince Sultan announced donation of SR5million for orphan hostels and SR5million for Centers of the Disabled in Makkah Region annually.

The audience was attended by Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Prince Bandar bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz; Prince Abdullah bin Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz; Prince Bander bin Fahd bin Khalid; Prince Khalid bin Fahd bin Khalid; Prince Mohammed Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal, other princes; senior civil and military officials and a group of citizens.

On the other hand, Governor of Taif Province Fahd bin Abdulaziz bin Muammar has extended thanks to and appreciation of Crown Prince Sultan for donating to establish three cultural and social centers in Makkah, Jeddah and Taif, SR5million for orphans centers, SR5million for Centers of the Disabled and a charitable hospital for the treatment of cancerous tumors.

In his own name and on behalf of Taif Province people, Bin Muammar, appealed to Allah Almighty to bestow continuous health and happiness on the Crown Prince.

Prince Sultan expressed appreciation of and thanks to Saudi Arabian Scout Society and all its staff for their kind feelings they expressed through a letter of allegiance and love signed by 115,000 scouts from all over the world.

This came in a reply cable sent by Crown Prince Sultan to Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammad Al Saud, Minister of Education who is also the President of Saudi Arabian Scout Society in response to a cable he received earlier from Prince Faisal congratulating him on his safe return home.

Meanwhile, Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Assistant Defense and Aviation Minister for Military Affairs, received Michael B. Donley, the Secretary of U.S. Air Force and the accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they reviewed issues of mutual interest.
