Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, received at his guest residence in New York a number of telephone calls tonight from President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak of Egypt; King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan; Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait; and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain consecutively.

The kings, presidents and emirs were reassured about the health of the Crown Prince, congratulating him on the successful operation he had undergone recently and wishing him continuous good health.

For his part, Crown Prince Sultan thanked them for their noble feelings, wishing them good health.

Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister, has assured the Saudi citizens about the health condition of Crown Prince Sultan.

In a televised statement, Prince Naif said the surgical operation conducted on the Crown Prince in New York was successful.

He noted that Crown Prince Sultan is enjoying a good health and all his organs are well, and he doesn't complain from anything.

About his return to the Kingdom, Prince Naif said 'there is no a fixed time for that, but he must stay for some days at the hospital, and added the physicians have advised Crown Prince Sultan to enjoy a holiday.

God willing, he will soon return to the Kingdom, he noted.

The Royal Court has issued the following statement:

"Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, The Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General underwent an internal surgery, on Monday 28/02/1430 AH, corresponding to 23-02-2009 in New York City, the United States of America.

In a statement, the operating medical team pointed out that this process is in completion of the medical tests and treatment received by the Crown Prince recently, adding that it proved to be successful, thank Allah.

We ask Almighty Allah to save the Crown Prince, wish him fast recovery, and provide him with more help and success.

Prince Sultan had arrived in New York on Thursday evening from the Kingdom of Morocco to follow up necessary medical tests and treatment.

At John Kennedy airport, the Crown Prince was welcomed by Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister; Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz. Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation for military affairs; other princes and a number of high-ranking officials.

The Crown Prince's accompanying delegation was comprised of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; other princes and a number of high-ranking officials.

On the other hand, under the patronage of Crown Prince Sultan, King Saud University (KSU) will organize the Second seminar on "Information Technology" on March 7-11, 2009.

The participants of the seminar will review the positive impact of the information economy and investment on the society as well as elements of building and developing the information economy in addition to the role of the information technology in boosting the information economy.

They will also review the role of the private and public sectors in spreading awareness of information economy as well as the information strategic planning.

The seminar aims at encouraging scientific researches which contribute to building information economy as well as diagnosis of the obstacles that impede progress in this sphere.

The seminar’s organizing committee has extended invitations to a number of scientists and experts from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad to participate in the seminar.

A series of training courses will be organized on the fringes of the seminar.

Prince Sultan, who is also the Supreme President of Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Charity Foundation, approved the Saudi Arabian Airlines to be the official carrier of the "3rd International Disability and Rehabilitation Conference" to be held in Riyadh during the period from 22 to 26 March 2009.

Crown Prince Sultan ordered the allocation of 230 free international and domestic tickets for participants in the conference as support by the Saudi Arabian Airlines for this world scientific meeting which aims at developing the care provided to the disabled people.

Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Disabled Children Association, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prince Salman Center for Disability Research and the President of the "3rd International Disability and Rehabilitation Conference", thanked the Crown Prince Sultan for agreeing to patronize the Conference and for his generous support for making it successful.

The 3rd International Disability and Rehabilitation Conference is being organized by Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Charity Foundation and Prince Salman Center for Disability Research and Disabled Children Society with participation of the Social Affairs Ministry; Health Ministry; Higher Education Ministry; Education Ministry; King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh.
