Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, has received telephone calls from a number of world dignitaries enquiring about his health and congratulating him on the success of the surgery he has recently undergone.
They were from Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE); President Nebeosha Radanovich of the Presidency Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President of the UAE, Prime Minister of the UAE and Governor of the Emirate of Dubai; Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabur Al Thani, Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Heir Apparent of the Emirate of Abu-Dhabi.
For his part, the Crown Prince thanked them for their noble feelings, wishing good health.
Prince Sultan thanked the Secretary General of Muslim World League (MWL) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki and the participants in the second session of the Executive Board of the Global Forum for Muslim Scholars and Intellectuals which was recently held by MWL.
The Crown Prince thanked them for their efforts during the session, wishing them all success.
This came in a reply cable in response to a cable sent by MWL Secretary General on the occasion of the end of the second session of the Executive Board of the Global Forum for Muslim Scholars and Intellectuals.
The MWL Secretary General said in his cable that the Muslim scholars and intellectuals participating in the session thanked the Crown Prince for the efforts he exerted to serve Islam and Muslims.
On the other hand, under the patronage of Crown Prince Sultan, the contest of Prince Sultan International Prize for Memorization of the Holy Quran for the Military will start on 8-15/4/1430 H.
The contest will be accompanied by cultural events, including intellectual security, training courses, lectures, seminars and meetings as well as researches on the evils of terrorism on an individual and the society.
Meanwhile, the City of Riyadh will host on March 16-17 the activities of First Saudi International Technology Incubation Forum, organized by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) attended by 25 global experts and specialists in the field of technology incubators, as well as a large number of inventors, researchers and managers of incubators in the Gulf and the Middle East regions.
Prince Dr. Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed Al Saud, Vice-President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology for Research Institutes said that conference sponsored and initiated by KACST city through Badir Program for Technology incubators (BADIR-ICT) is the first ICT technology incubator to be established in Saudi Arabia. It is part of the national BADIR technology incubator initiative of Saudi Arabia's national research institute and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) with cooperation of the World Bank for the development of information aims to develop an environment of creativity and innovation in the Kingdom through incubators; and in the framework of the City to develop incubation policies.
