Princess Jawaher bint Naif inaugurates projects financed by Prince Sultan Fund

Sultan bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian Services City has won the Award of Best Design for Hospitals and Health Facilities in the Middle East from the Conference and Exhibition of Hospital Building and Technology in the Middle East held in Dubai on June 14-16.

The City has won an international certificate of excellence for its application of best standards of medical management and health services strategies.

In a press statement on this occasion, Prince Faisal bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Secretary General of Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Charitable Foundation pointed out that this qualitative achievement came as culmination of care and patronage provided for the Foundation by Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, who is also the Foundation's Supreme Chairman, as well as his distinguished initiatives in several areas for providing social welfare and health care and his unprecedented support for the provision of the best medical care in the Kingdom comparable to the best health services available in the West.

He noted that this international recognition shows one important aspect of the Humanitarian Services City which has been equipped according to the highest world standards, adding that the City has provided outstanding services to more than 200,000 patients since its establishment.

Meanwhile, Prince Jawaher bint Naif, the spouse of the Governor of the Eastern Region, inaugurated three women-related projects as part of enterprises financed by the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Fund for the Support of Women's Projects.

The inaugural ceremonies were attended by the fund's executive director Hanaa al-Zuhair.

The projects comprised the Alaa al-Hariri Office for Architecture & Interior Designing, al-Waraqa al-Zhakiya Center for Student Services and the Nour Uniform Exhibition.

The projects fall within the fund's objectives that aim to support entrepreneurs of small-sized enterprises and the development of their projects.

Hassan al-Jasser, the secretary-general of the fund, expressed thanks for Prince Mohammed bin Fahd, the Governor of the Eastern Region and the fund's board chairman, and also to Prince Jawaher bint Naif bin Abdulaziz for their continuous backing of the fund and its activities.
