Saudi government musters up all potentials to receive pilgrims
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques orders hosting 1,000 Muslims from all over the world to perform hajj rituals

Saudi Press highlighted in their editorials last week the Hajj services as Al-Nadwah newspaper, under the title "Integrated Services to Pilgrims”, said that all bodies concerned with hajj services have announced their readiness for hajj to provide the best services and facilities to pilgrims to perform their rituals easily and comfortably.
It said that pilgrims will witness this hajj season numerous achievements in Makkah, Madinah and the holy places.
On its part, Al-Madinah newspaper said in an editorial entitled "No Tampering with Pilgrims" Security" that hajj in view point of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia forms a great challenge as it mobilizes all security bodies and services" utilities to provide security atmosphere to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals easily and comfortably.
On its part, Al-Yaum newspaper said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will not allow any side to destabilize hajj season, to tamper with pilgrims" security, to divide the Islamic ranks and to politicize hajj season.
Under the title "Seekers for Dividing Islamic Ranks", Al-Jazirah warned against calls issued by groups to exploit hajj season for political purposes and to invest it for their narrow worldly interests.
It stressed that the Kingdom will not allow any side to destabilize hajj season and to disturb pilgrims" security, referring in this regard to the Cabinet which stressed in its session on Monday that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which gives utmost significance to the security of pilgrims and considers it as a red line will not allow any side to violate it.
Indian and Indonesian hajj officials have commended the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for providing the best services and facilities to pilgrims to enable them to perform their rituals easily and comfortably.
During their visits to United Agents Office for hajj Services, Sayyid Murqi, the Official in Charge of Indian hajj Mission praised the Office for its services including facilitating the procedures of their registration and their transportation to Makkah and Madinah.
On his part, the Head of Indonesian Hajj Mission Subhan Khalid lauded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its services and facilities to pilgrims.
Egyptian Minister of State for Legal Affairs and Parliamentary Councils Dr. Mufid Shehab has commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for providing the best services and facilities to pilgrims to perform their rituals easily and comfortably.
In a press statement, he said that Egypt provides all facilities and care for pilgrims including vaccinations and transportations in coordination with Saudi authorities to facilitate their entry and accommodation in Saudi Arabia.
The Directorate-General of Water in Makkah Region has approved its operational plan for this year’s Hajj season in Makkah and the holy places.
The Directorate’s Supervisor-General Eng. Mohammed bin Ahmed Baghdadi said that the plan included preparation of additional water for pilgrims, noting that all water reservoirs in Makkah and the holy places have been filled with their storage capacity of 2.5 million cubic meters and that there are 63 water reservoirs in Makkah and the holy places.
He estimated that the average daily amount of water coming to Makkah during Hajj season amounts to 410,000 cubic meters.
The Directorate of Civil Defense in Madinah region has started implementation of its plan for this year’s Hajj season.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Director-General of Civil Defense in Madinah Region Major General Saleh bin Salem Al-Mahous has pointed out that the plan focused on developing fixed centers in the Central Area surrounding the Prophet’s Mosque and the cities of pilgrims by sea and land in addition to operating seven seasonal centers distributed on the highways leading to Madinah.
He added that along side each center, there is an emergency department, noting that these centers are in addition to the major centers working throughout the year consisting of five internal centers and three external centers associated with 20 units comprising 38 fire and rescue brigades distributed in neighborhoods of Madinah.
As many as 477,667 pilgrims have so far arrived in Madinah, an increase of 5% in comparison with the number of the last year; 228,590 pilgrims left Madinah, an increase of 19%; and 249,014 pilgrims remained in the Prophet’s city, the Secretariat of Hajj Committee in the city announced in a report.
It pointed out that 12,249 pilgrims have arrived at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport; 18,004 pilgrims came by buses; and 27,507 left by buses for Makkah.
The Committee added that 8, 380 pilgrims were provided health care at hospitals and health care centers in Madinah on Monday.
In implementation of the directive and follow-up of Prince Abdulaziz bin Mated bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Madinah Region, who is also Chairman of Hajj Committee in Madinah, the Governorate of Madinah Region has executed an advanced plan to provide best services and facilities to pilgrims and visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque to perform their rituals easily and comfortably.
A report issued by Hajj Committee said that the Committee has implemented the Program of Partnership Management for three years, which will conclude with the end of this year’s Hajj season.
Under this program, the report said 32 cameras have been installed at the city’s Miqat Mosque to monitor crowded areas in addition to the launch of Electronic Guidance Project through installation of 200 sets equipped with maps and addresses of hotels and housing units for pilgrims and visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque.

Hajj Services National Establishment for Pilgrims of Arab States is applying a standard program for construction and equipment of 40,000 tents in the holy places for pilgrims from Arab countries.
The Deputy Chairman of the Establishment’s Board of Directors Eng. Talal bin Hussein Mahdhar said that the Program aims to achieve the highest standards of quality and quantity in pilgrims" camps in the Holy Mount of Arafat to provide pilgrims with utmost degree of safety and comfort.
Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Tabuk Region, who is also Supervisor-General of Hajj and Umrah Affairs, will inspect on Tuesday Pilgrims City at Halat Ammar Entry Post which was opened on November 3 in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier to provide the best services and facilities to pilgrims to perform their Hajj rituals easily and comfortably.
The Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Security Affairs of Governorate of Tabuk Region Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Hagbani, who is also the Supervisor’s Undersecretary of Hajj and Umrah Affairs has stressed that the Pilgrims City is provided with comprehensive services and facilities.
"Moreover, all civil and military sectors are providing services to pilgrims and facilitating their affairs round the clock".
