Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at al-Yamama Palace the participants in the symposium of dialogue between the Arab and Chinese civilizations organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information in Riyadh during the period from 1 to 3 December.
During the audience, which was attended by Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, Chinese former deputy foreign minister and head of the Chinese delegation ambassador Bang Fotchang delivered a speech in which he thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for receiving them.
The head of the Chinese delegation said, "We reject linking terrorism with a nation or environment." He hailed the positive role of the kingdom in the regional affairs and Saudi-Chinese relations saying the Saudi-Chinese relations are now in their best stage.
Then, an Arab League official spoke on Arab-Chinese cooperation in political, commercial and cultural fields.
Then, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques delivered a speech in which he underlined the importance of dialogue for countries and civilizations as well as rapprochement among people.
He addressed the audience saying, "Currently, we are interested in unity of humanity. As you know, in the present time, ethics and credibility have been slightly undermined. But, we depend on you to revive credibility and rapprochement among peoples and this is one of your merits."
"As to China, it is a dear and friendly country for us all because China always stands by right and justice and always stands by the Palestinian cause and Arab causes.
"The world now is different from the world we think of or we read about in history. The world has now deteriorated to a level that it should not have reached at all. But, hopes are pinned on cultured and wise men like you who care for humans.
"The issue is greater than all of this. Deterioration in the world now is fearful. Ethics should be protected in the whole world by all those who are honest and admire their ethics and religious beliefs.
"In the Torah, the Bible and the Quran, the almighty God mentions principles that we should cling to as Muslims and as those who adhere to the Torah and the Bible, that is we should refer to the almighty God in all our course and principles. We should benefit from orders by the almighty God to hold on to these ethics. This is the first thing to save the familyhood of the world which has become as you know extremely disintegrated.
"Hence, as men of science, culture and ethics, you should pay attention to this issue. This humanity will only be saved by reverting to the almighty God. So, tell them to adhere to their creeds whether they are Islamic, Christian or Jewish and adhere to the teachings ordained by God for the benefit of humanity.
"I hope you will pay attention to this issue. No doubt, you are an example for the world and it is looking up to you.
"I wish you luck, progress and prosperity with this blessed step. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is ready for all that is asked of it. I thank you and wish you luck. Peace be upon you."

This came today in a press statement delivered by Prince Naif following his patronage of 7th Engineering Conference on behalf of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, at King Saud University in Riyadh.
Asked about his opinion on the current intellectual action and its comparison with field work in fighting against terrorism, the Prince said, "We hope that this will be achieved, and that is what King Saud University is working for. Unfortunately, the intellectual effort has not reached the desired level since security effort is not sufficient. The intellectual effort prevents the arrival of these ideas to the minds of youth, purifies the ideas of these ideas alien to Islam which are alleged to be Islamic methodology, but Islam has nothing to do with them.
"All these ideas harm Islam. I am not saying this alone, but all Muslim scholars and intellectuals who have even limited knowledge of religious aspects. Those individuals alleging this are the first ones who worked and have been working against Islam and this achieves the goals of bodies mentioned by Islam.
"This effort must be remarkable and distinguished. We should see its results on the ground and this is now started by King Saud University. We hope all our universities to do so and the Saudi media contribute effectively in this matter to enlightening and preventing the risks against the sons of the homeland.
Prince Naif added, "Platforms of mosques have been set up to guide people and Muslims. This is the basic platform since the message was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This platform was guiding and acquainting people. "It is wrong that these platforms direct to secondary or external matters as we suffer from important matters pertaining to the homeland, citizens and potentials. They must turn to the greatest danger of disobedience to the religion and the ruler. They are greater than religious dissenters who disobeyed Ali (God be pleased with him).
"They are greater than terrorists and the misguided people. Their danger is great. They should know that the Ministry of Interior made efforts through advice. Some of those assimilating these ideas have benefited from advice and we will continue in this direction. We hope that other bodies make efforts so that we concentrate on security efforts."
Asked about the percentage of the non-Saudis among those who were recently arrested, Prince Naif said the percentage of those who are over-stayers, or illegal resident, (in the Kingdom) is annoying.
He noted that the worst of these are those who stay back and are bracketed under "the uncontrolled workforce who are not regularly working."

He said "financing terrorism runs counter to the teachings of our creed and to the interests of our country," adding that "these (financers) are criminals and the security authorities will nab them."
"I want to say that we have so far dried up several sources of financing and channels of supporting terrorism, and God willing, we are determined to go ahead on this path," he added.

I would like to inform you that security organs have attained great achievements, and have successfully aborted more than 180 operations, and even if 30 percent of these aborted operations were to be carried out, our country would have faced a great tragedy," he elaborated.
He lauded the positive outcome of the efforts of the Guidance Committee, and said more than 1000 persons have been released after getting acquainted with their errors, and it is hopeful that the number of the repentants will increase.
On the foreign parties which finance the terror operations, Prince Naif said the statement released by the Interior Ministry in this regard noting 'there were foreign parties behind the operations', 'but who are these people and how could they finance the terror acts', all such questions will be answered at a suitable time.
