The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at the Royal Court at Al-Yamamah Palace Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustav who is also the Honorary President of the World Scout Fund and the accompanying delegation.
At the outset of the audience, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed the Sweden's King, expressing his hope that the Sweden's King has spent happy times in the Kingdom.
On his part, King Carl XVI Gustav expressed his thanks to and appreciation of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to him and the accompanying delegation.
The Sweden's King also expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his efforts in promoting the World Scout Movement and for his support and sponsorship of the World Scout Exhibition for Peace inaugurated in Riyadh.
At the end of the audience, the Sweden's King presented the membership of the World Scout Fund to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

The message was delivered to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques by Advisor at Kuwaiti Emir Court Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah during an audience at the Royal Court at Al-Yamamah Palace.
The Advisor conveyed to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques the greetings of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. In turn, the Monarch sent his greetings to the Emir.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has ordered the promotion and appointment of 50 judges at the Ministry of Justice and 8 judges at Grievances Bureau and promotion of 4 members at Investigation and Prosecution Commission.
The Monarch also ordered the promotion and appointment of 2503 officers of various ranks and promotion of 4 chief warrant officers to the rank of lieutenant in various military sectors.
Meanwhile, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, held a luncheon in honor of Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustav and the accompanying delegation.
Upon arrival at the Crown Prince's Palace, the Sweden's King was received by the Crown Prince who welcomed him in the Kingdom and wished him a pleasant stay.

Under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz and Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustav who is also the Honorary President of the World Scout Fund opened the International Scout Exhibition for Peace.
The General Supervisor of the International Scout Exhibition for Peace Dr. Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Fahd delivered a speech in which he expressed happiness over the launch of the exhibition under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz who described boy scouts as "Messengers of Peace" during a meeting with a delegation of boy scouts in Riyadh.
He also pointed out that the Crown Prince described boy scouts as "Representatives of Peace".
Al-Fahd indicated that the exhibition included world scout achievements of a number of states in the field of peace in addition to the achievements made by Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association.
"The exhibition includes hundreds of articles on peace and reflects the scout movement and its message. The Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association designed a Website to inform the world on this international occasion", he added.
Following that, the Executive Director of International Scout Fund John Geo Qikan delivered a speech in which he talked about the emergence of Scouting in the world, pointing out that it started among youth at the local community level and then began to spread at the global level where the number of its members has become now 28 million in 160 countries.
Following that, the Minister of Education Dr. Abdullah bin Salih Al-Obaid who is also the Chief of the Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association delivered a speech in which he welcomed the audience and praised the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to sponsor "Peace Gift".
Al-Obaid said that this initiative represents the Monarch's belief in the importance of Scouting in spreading peace. He thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their efforts to serve humanity in all fields, particularly scouting. He also thanked Sweden's King for his visit to Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association.
For his part, Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustav who is the Honorary President of the International Scout Fund delivered a speech in which he commended the support and attention given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to scouting and Peace Gifts Programme.
"The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has inspired us by this global program which we call Peace Gifts. The real good leadership was the key factor for the success of this program in which 10 million boy scouts have participated so far from 110 countries", he said.
King Gustav expressed admiration for the Saudi Scouts, particularly their important role in the services of pilgrims each year, describing them as the largest public service project in the world.
"We were received with a warm welcome by scouts upon our arrival in Riyadh. We can see in their faces that they are very proud of their country. The exhibition shows us how young people from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia do the same as young people from the United States, Sweden or South Africa do", he added.
Then, the Sweden's King and Governor of Riyadh Region inaugurated the website of exhibition, opened and toured the International Scout Exhibition for Peace.

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, has approved the establishment of the "Scientific Chair for Islamic Minorities" at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and extended a donation of 10 million riyals to support this chair.
This was announced by Director of the university Dr. Osamah Tayeb in a statement to Saudi Press Agency.
Dr. Tayeb said this chair aims at studying in detail the state of affairs of Muslim minorities in some non-Muslim countries to support them.

Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University's Council has decided to grant an honorary doctorate certificate in the field of serving the Sunnah (tradition of Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him) to Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister, to honor him and in appreciation of his efforts.
This was announced to Saudi Press Agency by Director of the university Dr. Solaiman Aba Alkhail who said the decision on Wednesday to grant the certificate to Prince Naif reflected the university's appreciation of his great efforts to serve the Sunnah through allocating prizes to those who serve the Sunnah.
Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation for Military Affairs, received Lieutenant General James J. Lovelace, the commander of the army at the US Central Command and the commander of the Third US Army.
