Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, President Mubarak discuss in Jeddah Arab, regional, int'l developments
Egyptian-Saudi talks tackle Palestinian issue, Iraq, Lebanon
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held at his palace in Riyadh a session of talks with Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak.
During the talks, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries, ways of their enhancement in various fields and overall events and developments at Arab, regional and international arenas particularly the developments of the Palestinian cause, the situations in Iraq and Lebanon and the stands of the two countries towards them.
On the Saudi side, the session was attended by Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Region; Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Secretary General of National Security Council; and Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Hisham Mohieddin Nazer.
On the Egyptian side, it was attended by Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit; Chief of General Intelligence Omar Suleiman; Chief of the President's Court Dr. Zakaria Azmi; Egyptian Ambassador to the Kingdom Mohammed Abdulhamid Qassim; and Secretary to President for Information and Follow-up Ambassador Suleiman Awwad.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held here today a luncheon in honor of Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak and the accompanying delegation.
The luncheon was attended by Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister; Prince Bandar bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz; Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Region; Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; and a number of princes, ministers and senior civil and military officials.
President Mubarak arrived in Riyadh on Sunday on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
At King Abdulaziz International Airport, he was received by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who welcomed the President and his accompanying delegation.
President Mubarak was also received by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah region; Eng. Adel Faqih, Mayor of Jeddah Governorate; Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Tubaishi, Chief of Royal Protocol; and Mohammed Abdulhamaid Qassim, Egyptian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
President Mubarak shook hands with Interior Minister Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Chief of General Intelligence Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammad Al Saud, Secretary General of the National Security Council Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah Prince Misha'al bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Chief of General Intelligence Prince Abdulaziz bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Adviser to the King Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Adviser to the King Prince Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz; Adviser to the King Prince Dr. Bandar bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Saud; Minister of State, Cabinet Member, Chief of the Court of Cabinet Presidency Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz; Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Hisham Mohieddin Nazir; a number of ministers and senior civil and military officials; and members of the Egyptian Embassy in the Kingdom.
The Monarch shook hands with members of the official delegation accompanying the Egyptian President.
The official delegation accompanying the Egyptian President includes Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit, Chief of General Intelligence Omar Suleiman and Chief of the President's Court Dr. Zakaria Azmi.
President Mubarak left Jeddah after a brief visit to the Kingdom.
Upon departure from the King's palace, the Egyptian President was seen off by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who wished the President and his accompanying delegation a happy trip.
The President was also seen off by Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior; Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Secretary General of National Security Council; and Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Hisham Mohieddin Nazer.
