Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, conveyed congratulations of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Supreme Commander of all armed forces, to the personnel of the armed forces in the northwestern region, the land and air forces and air defense, on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr and he joined them in their happiness on this occasion

The crown prince reviewed symbolic units of the armed forces in the northwestern region at the military parade field at King Abdulaziz Military City in Tabuk.
A speech ceremony was held on the occasion.
The crown prince delivered a speech in which he conveyed congratulations of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Supreme Commander of all armed forces, to the personnel of the armed forces in the northwestern region on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
Addressing the personnel, the crown prince expressed happiness for their performance during Saif Al-Islam-7 exercise which they carried out in the region's fields. The crown prince said that the exercise was carried out excellently and in various methods as usual adding that he was sure the joint operations were proceeding according to good plans and excellent performance. He said the performance of the four forces was very effective.
He stated that this is what the supreme command under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques seeks to achieve, maintain and even develop.
The crown prince congratulated them on and thanked them for their excellent performance which he said is evidence of punctuality and sound training characterized by strong loyalty.
The crown prince highlighted the Kingdom's recent celebration of its 78th anniversary and the great and heroic act of its unification by the late Founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud who, he said, based his rule on the Holy Book of Quran and the Teachings of the Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him.
The crown prince underlined the development achievements in the Kingdom including the military sectors which will further develop to achieve more accomplishments in the fields of defense and various areas and specializations, the crown prince said
.
The crown prince added, "I promise you to achieve more of them in the coming days and let me leave talking and let evidence speak for themselves.
Then, the crown prince left the military parade field after receiving a memorial gift on the occasion. He later graced a luncheon held in his honor by the northwestern region's command at Prince Sultan Celebrations Hall at King Abdulaziz Military City in Tabuk.
Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, arrived in Tabuk to convey the greetings of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Supreme Commander of all armed forces, on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr to the personnel of the armed forces in Tabuk region and to the citizens.
Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, opened Fahd bin Sultan University in Tabuk.
A speech ceremony was held on the occasion.
The crown prince made a statement asking the university, a private educational institution, to accept his request of enrolling 50 orphans or handicapped persons who have reached the level of university and that the study of those 50 people will be at the Crown Prince's own expense to honor man and the university itself.
Speaking on the occasion, Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Tabuk region, and Chairman of the board of trustees of Fahd bin Sultan University, said Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz laid the foundation stone of the university in 1424. He noted that the university includes three faculties, namely the faculties of computer, engineering and administration.
Prince Fahd bin Sultan pointed out that arrangements are underway to add the faculties of pharmacy, dentistry, and human sciences to the university.
He noted that the university has signed contracts with Beirut-based the American university, as well as with a number of American universities, the universities in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and other universities in the world for acquiring more experience.
Then, the students of the university greeted the Crown Prince before he left the university premises.
Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, donated a sum of SR22 million to build and restore 649 housing units of the personnel of the armed forces in the northwestern region.
The crown prince's donation is part of his care for the personnel of the armed forces in various regions of the Kingdom.
Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, visited the housing project (the first phase) which includes 148 units built on an area of 40,000 square meter within the framework of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz housing project.
Prince Sultan, who was accompanied by Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the eastern region, was welcomed by Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, the Vice-Governor of the eastern region, and other officials.
Prince Sultan was briefed on the housing project.
The housing project in Dammam, which includes 148 housing units, was implemented at a total cost of SR 60 million. 143 families benefited from the project implemented on an area of 40,000 square meters.
The project includes a 2854 square meter mosque, a kindergarten, a health center, green areas as well as a shopping center and a water desalination station.
Later Prince Sultan, who was accompanied by a number of princes, received a memorial present from the Governor of the eastern region.
Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, announced his donation of SR10 million, on annual basis, to Tabuk-based Prince Fahd bin Sultan University.
The donation reflects his care for supporting higher education in the Kingdom.
Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, has donated SR 10,000 for each of the families of the housing project of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz in Dammam.
This was announced by supervisor general of the project s of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Dr Abdullah al-Kadi in a statement to SPA.
Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, received at his palace at Al-Rakah neighborhood of the city of Al-Khober, Eastern Region, tonight Ulema, sheikhs, dignitaries, a group of citizens from Eastern Region, and senior commanders and officers of the armed forces in the region who came to greet and congratulate him on the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.
They had dinner with the Crown Prince.

Addressing the personnel, the crown prince thanked them for their efforts to develop their homeland and said, "Please be advised that while you are defending this dear and great part of your dear country, you are maintaining world stability and economy. With your defense, you are making sacrifices for this dear homeland. The Kingdom is also keen on the stability, development and progress of the countries of the world with a balanced policy and effective resolutions and constant calls for all parties of conflicts to avoid division and infighting and its call for solidarity to build a just, world peace through the return of rights to their owners."
The crown prince said that all accomplishments by the armed forces are due to the grace of the Almighty God and for the advancement of the homeland and its protection and for the happiness and welfare of the citizens.
The crown prince said he appreciates the personnel’s sincerity and loyalty to their religion and country. He urged them to continue their efforts and training saying, "We will spare nothing to support you with all that you need."
Then, the crown prince opened and toured an exhibition at King Fahd Military City on efforts of the crown prince to modernize the armed forces. Then, a presentation on the crown prince's services for the homeland and the armed forces was shown.
Later, the crown prince answered questions by reporters. On the world financial markets crisis, he said, "This is an international issue that doesn't concern us only. However, the king instructed several concerned agencies to thoroughly study how best to deal with this issue."
On a Saudi embassy in Iraq, the crown prince said, "Iraq is a sisterly country. The embassy will be opened soon, God willing."
On transforming a part of the armed forces to installations' security forces and whether this shortage in the armed forces will be compensated, the crown prince said, "First...no installations' forces were assigned without being replaced by other forces. To us, the installations are more important than any other thing."
Later, the crown prince left the King Fahd Military City. The event was attended by a number of princes and officials.
The Program of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Charitable Foundation for Housing, launched in 1421H., is considered as one of the distinguished charitable housing programs in the Kingdom to provide housing units for the needy families and poor widows and orphans in all the Kingdom's regions.
The Program has had unlimited support from Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation, Inspector General, and the Supreme Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Charitable Foundation.
The Crown Prince has been keen on sensing the needs of citizens, improving their standards of living and providing them with proper environment for a good life to serve their society.
The Program affiliated with Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Charitable Foundation has approved the building of 1, 551 housing units distributed over 20 sites in the Kingdom's regions. The total cost of construction and furnishing of facilities amounted to SR 480 million.
The program has completed six projects comprising of 671 housing units equipped with services and public utilities. They have been distributed to beneficiaries in Tabuk, Assir, Najran, Hail, Makkah and Riyadh regions.
The program is now supervising the building of 880 housing units which are under construction in 14 sites in the regions of Tabuk, Makkah, Madinah and Hail. They are expected to be completed in 1430/1431H.
