Crown Prince donates $500,000 for Prince Sultan Islamic School in South Korea

$300 million grant from Saudi Arabia to sustain Pakistan's budget

Saudi Ambassador to South Korea Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Ayfan handed Dr. Abdulrazeq Sung, the Chairman of the South Korean Muslim Federation, a check of the sum of 500,000 US dollars in donation from Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense & Aviation and Inspector General, to develop the Prince Sultan Islamic School in the South Korean capital Seoul.

The South Korean Muslim Federation hosted a celebration on the occasion during which Dr. Abdulrazeq Sung expressed deep appreciation and gratitude on behalf of the federation and South Korea's Muslim community for Prince Sultan's "generous donation" and permanent support for the federation.

Ambassador Ayfan, speaking on the occasion, said Prince Sultan's generous donation would God willing contribute to enhancing the South Korean Muslim Federation's efforts to build the first Islamic primary school in South Korea.

"This donation is part of His Highness' donation to the Prince Sultan Islamic School that began its first stage by setting up kindergarten (KG) and pre-elementary classes when Prince Sultan paid a visit to South Korea in the year 2000," Ambassador Ayfan said.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani government announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has granted Pakistan a financial aid of 300 million US dollars to help the Muslim nation curb its state budget deficit and cope with the oil price hike.

"In a gesture of good faith to help the Pakistani people, the government of brotherly Saudi Arabia offered 300 million US dollars in assistance for Pakistan to channel into the state budget," according to an official Pakistani statement.
